What is Country Specific Domain?

A country Specific domain (ccTLD) is an Internet top-level domain generally used or reserved for a country, sovereign state, or dependent territory identified with a country code.

Basically this means that these domains extensions are reserved for a Counter.

For example :

  • United State – .us
  • India – .in
  • United Kingdom – .uk
  • Canada – .ca

So, If you want to target mainly the united States audience then you should go for (dot).us or If you are targeting global audience then you should definitely go with (dot).com domain extension.

Similarly, you will get to see .uk, .co.in, .us, .pk, .au, .de etc for different countries.
